Cargolux is Europe’s biggest all-cargo airline with a fleet of modern Boeing 747-400 and 747-8 freighters. The company was launch customer and the world’s first operator of both aircraft types and uses its modern fleet and a number of trucking contractors to move valuable and time-sensitive commodities on its worldwide network that covers some 90 destinations. Cargolux has more than 85 offices in over 50 countries. Its shareholders today are Luxair (35.1%), HNCA (35%), BCEE (10.91%), SNCI (10.67%) and the Luxembourg State (8.32%). It also offers a range of specialized maintenance services and holds approvals for other aircraft types, including the 737, 757, 767 and 777.

Perform procurement related tasks for goods, services and equipment
Set up and maintain procurement process based on policies
Administer contract data base
Negotiate contracts term based on policies
Create tenders & ensure follow up
Establish and administer regular reporting
Analyzing vendor performance
Maintain and promote professional and technical knowledge
General school leaving certificate of secondary education or equivalent (e.g. A-Level, BAC, Abitur)
At least 5 years of experience in a similar position or previous exposure to purchasing
Basic financial experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage and lead a team in a multicultural environment
Ability to take decisions
Customer and result oriented
Ability to maneuver comfortably through complex processes and to plan/ prioritize work in order to meet deadlines
Ability to anticipate and adopt innovations in emerging technologies
Fluency in written and spoken English, French, German and Luxembourgish, other languages are a distinct advantage
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
Proficiency in TRAX and Planon
Basic SAP knowledge
